The Jaguar XJ really needs no introduction... from its discreet opulence, to its silky smooth but powerful V8, its instantly recognizable design and incredibly homely feeling interior.
Its dark green exterior over a tan interior with plenty of rich wood is as classic of a combination as it gets. It just fits the XJ like a tailor made suit.
Our particular car can boast of single family ownership until 2025. It was bought new at V. de la Oliva Jaguar in Barcelona by a prominent family of Catalan business owners.
Up until last year the car was almost exclusively chauffered in and around the city, showing an average speed of just 25kph on the trip meter that was last reset around 2010, if we substract the kms it shows from the total, and comparing it to the registered historic.
Talking about kilometers, its odometer shows just 117.000km. Maintenance was done at V. de la Oliva Jaguar until 2010. After that, it was taken to a renown classic car specialist we have close ties with.
Even with such an impressive history, the car is not perfect and shows some damage on the body from the years of city use. Some panels have been professionally repainted. The leather also shows some creasing on the most commonly worn spots.
The car is richly equipped with fully electric front seats, automatic climate control, automatic headlights, a multimedia radio, trip computer, central locking with remote, electric windows and mirrors, and plenty of comfort ammenities.
The 4.0 V8 produces around 280-hp and feels smooth as can be, as well as powerful when asked to be. The 5-speed ZF automatic gearbox operates flawlessly. Underneath it is rust free and it hasn't been involved in any accidents.
The car will be delivered with two sets of keys, one remote, all of its Spanish documentation and all of the books delivered with the car when new.
